One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "J. NORTON & CO / BENNINGTON VT", circa 1860, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Two minor, glazed-over spout chips and a minuscule spout nick. Two small pings to right side of jug.
