Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS", New York State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with three finely-slip-trailed leaves conjoined at the stem. Slip-trailed "3." above. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Provenance: David Musser Collection. A chip to rim on left side of jar. A chip to handle on left side of jar. Some tiny flakes to cobalt. Some light water glass staining. A tiny iron ping to left of decoration.
