Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN", Barnabas Edmands, Charlestown, MA, circa 1830, ovoid pitcher with pronounced rim molding and tooled accents, impressed with the Barnabas Edmands maker's mark, "CHARLESTOWN", on front. A difficult-to-find form for this maker. A small glazed-over rim chip on reverse. Very nice overall condition. A 2 1/2" vertical line at base on reverse, continuing 2" onto underside. A few minor base chips.
