Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK, PA," circa 1870-1889, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip blossoming from a leafy stem. Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Pfaltzgraff Pottery Archives, York, PA. A dry, slightly-recessed in-the-firing contact mark to front. Staining. A small in-the-firing chip to handle.
