Four Stoneware Bottles with New York City Advertising, Northeastern U.S. origin, one stamped" ALFRED STENGEL / 48 & 50 LUDLOW St. N.Y. / This Bottle Not To Be Sold"; a second stamped "JOHN EDWARDS / N.Y. 1854"; a third white-glazed example, stamped "Valentine Loewer / 529 West 41st St / New York / 1873", with oval maker's stamp at base; and a fourth stamped "ADRIAN FEYH / 266 William Street / New York / 1874". All with various flaws, the most significant being a long horizontal crack in the Loewer bottle. H (of Edwards bottle) 6 1/2".
