Unusual Glazed Redware Pitcher with Impressed Decoration, Incised "JOURNEY'S END", attributed to Henry Schofield, Cecil County, MD, circa 1930, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and impressed wavy flourishes around the midsection, incised on front with the inscription "JOURNEY'S END". Surface decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Restored handle. Some typical wear to spout and rim. Expected light wear to underside. H 6 1/4".
