Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Stamped "C", probably Pennsylvania origin, circa 1840-1875, with coggled edge, the interior covered in a lead-and-manganese glaze and decorated in yellow slip with wavy and scrolled trails. Impressed "C" on reverse. Heavy chipping to rim. A 1/2" glaze flake and two other minor flakes to interior base. Diameter 11 1/4".
