One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Stamped "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG", VA origin, circa 1890, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated around the shoulder with a series of graduated cobalt swags, applied over slip-washed clay. Provenance: David Musser Collection. Several rim chips. A 1" base chip and two other minor chips to underside at edge.
