Rare Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Canal Boat Decoration, Ohio origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed folk art design of a canal boat with stylized windows. Highly unusual design. A large crack at base, including a 7" reglued section to underside/base. Large as-made, unglazed area on right side of crock. Two minor chips on interior of rim. H 11 3/4".
