Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WILLIAMS AND REPPERT / GREENSBORO, PA", circa 1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the front featuring "WILLIAMS & REPPERT" maker's stenciling along with a stenciled flourish at the center. Freehand cobalt stripes to shoulder and base. Stenciled number 2 flanked by stenciled flourishes at base. Traces of old blue and red paint to surface. A sealed 6" horizontal crack at base, connecting to a network of other cracks on underside.
