One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR / TROY", New York State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with tooled shoulder, squared spout, and ribbed handle, decorated around the shoulder with a brushed leafy garland. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with two minor spout nicks and two discolored, in-the-firing contact marks to shoulder.
