Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Mug, Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1890, barrel-form mug with tooled midsection and applied handle, decorated with streaks of cream, green, and brown over an orange ground. Surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Large area of exfoliation to shoulder area. Additional lesser exfoliation to interior rim area. Flake to underside at bottom edge. A few other small glaze flakes to body and a few glaze flakes to handle. H 4 1/2".
