Two Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA of WV origin, circa 1875, a one-gallon jar, decorated with three wavy freehand stripes, possibly Palatine, WV, paired with a half-gallon cream jar with stripe decoration. One-gallon jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with some staining. Half-gallon jar with a rim chip on reverse, some adhesive residue to surface, and some staining.
