Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO", PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and rounded wax-sealer rim, the front featuring James Hamilton maker's stenciling above two stylized stenciled banners. Slight slump to right side of rim. Some minor nicks to interior of rim and inner wax sealer rim. Two very minor nicks to shoulder molding. H 7 7/8".
