Rare and Fine Glazed Redware Pitcher, Stamped "JOHN W. BELL / WAYNESBORO, Pa.," circa 1885, ovoid form with footed base, spurred handle, and pronounced spout, the surface decorated with streaky lead and manganese glaze. Excellent form. Heavy glaze scratches to exterior, primarily around midsection. Two minor rim chips. Wear to rim and handle. H 8 1/2".
