Half-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Foliate Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, probably John Remmey III, early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, heavily-tooled spout, and ribbed handle, decorated with a stylized, incised and cobalt-highlighted foliate design. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. 1 1/2" flake to underside at edge. Additional small base chips. H 9 3/8".
