Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK," circa 1810, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with brushed cobalt dashes surrounding the maker's mark. Additional cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Restotred hole in underside. A shallow 1 3/8" chip to underside at edge. Other shallow chipping to base. Spout chips. A few typical in-the-firing flaws to body.
