Two Two-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Foliate Decorations, Stamped "H.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK, PA," circa 1870-1889, both of ovoid form with a tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and lug handles, each decorated with a brushed leafy stem across the front and cobalt highlights to the maker's mark and handle terminals. One with wear to interior of rim, light wear to handles, light wear to midsection on reverse, and a thin 2" crack from rim on side of jar. Other jar with several rim chips, as well as a large shallow chip to one handle, two smaller chips to opposite handle, and two shallow chips to base on reverse.
