Tanware Pitcher, Western PA origin, fourth quarter 19th century, with ovoid body and tall flaring collar, decorated with a dipped Albany slip drape motif on the front and reverse. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor's wife in the 1930s or 1940s. 4" hairline from rim. Three small spout chips. Areas of roughness to rim. Chip on left side of rim. H 6 3/4".
