Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS," New York State origin, circa 1860, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a boldly-brushed tulip plant bearing four blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Spots of staining to surface, primarily on reverse. 1 7/8" hairline from rim on front. Two nicks on inner rim where a lid would rest.
