Three One-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jars, Stamped "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG," Virginia origin, circa 1890, all of similar ovoid form, two with squared rims and one with thin, semi-rounded rim. All impressed on the shoulder with "S. BELL & SON" maker's mark, the thin-rimmed example with inverted maker's mark. One in excellent condition with small chip on exterior of rim and minor wear on interior of rim. Another in excellent condition with two minor rim chips. A third with a 1 3/4" rim chip, a smaller base chip, and a hairline extending across underside and 5" up side of jar.
