Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Paddletail Bird Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a crested bird with paddle-shaped tail and scarce turned head, perched on a morning glory vine. Significant restoration throughout crock including areas of decoration.
