One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "N. WHITE, UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1830, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed cobalt "1" above stylized leafy brushwork. Two filled pings to surface. Two small filled and colored spout chips. Spots of wear to surface, probably in-the-making.
