Unusual Glazed Stoneware Harvest Jug with Gilded Inscription, Ohio origin, circa 1875, Albany-slip-glazed harvest jug with button finial, wide and narrow applied spout, and twisted rope handle, featuring the calligraphic gilt-painted inscription "W. Dayton & B. Toben / 703," surrounded by flourishes. Additional gilt vine decoration to reverse and accents to handle, spouts, and finial. Excellent condition with a small chip to pouring spout. H (to top of handle) 12 1/2".
