Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Eagle Decoration, Stenciled "EAGLE POTTERY," Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large stenciled eagle holding a banner inscribed "EAGLE POTTERY". Wavy freehand stripes above eagle and freehand "3" at base. 3" crack from rim on reverse. Staining to surface, primarily on reverse.
