One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Date "1832," New York State origin, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, tall collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with the large brushed cobalt date "1832". Excellent condition with a few small rim chips, and a faint Y-shaped line under one handle, which does not extend through to interior and probably occurred in the firing.
