Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Date 1832 within a Wreath, Stamped "CLARK & FOX / ATHENS," NY State origin, cylindrical jar with tooled and rounded shoulder tapering to a narrow, rounded rim accented with a tooled line, front decorated with the cobalt date "1832" within an wreath, underscored by an abstract cloud-like design. Base chip and several tiny base nicks.
