Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Mid-Atlantic origin, 19th century, a three-gallon churn with heavily-flared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate horizontal tulip motif, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835; paired with a five-gallon crock with floral motif, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester Co., PA. Both with significant cracks. Churn with rim chips.
