Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler with Profuse Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to David Parr, Sr., Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, ovoid cooler with tooled foot, tall narrow collar, and octagonal bung hole. Lavishly-decorated on the front and back with three rows of horizontal tulips. Additional tulip decoration surrounding rim. Excellent form and decoration, featuring a total of twenty-nine flowers. Unusually small size for a Baltimore cooler. Both handles restored. Significant cracks, some areas of which have been colored. Some small nicks to bung hole. Base chips. Chips and some restoration to rim.
