One-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar with Iron Oxide Dip, possibly Alexandria, VA, circa 1815, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and rounded rim, the upper portion dipped in a reddish-brown iron-oxide glaze. Some surface lines. Short line in rim. Chip on interior of rim. Glazed-over base chip. H 9 1/2".
