Scarce Youngstown, PA Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, rim and base decorated with freehand stripes, midsection stenciled "Wm ANDERSON / & SONS / YOUNGSTOWN / PA.". Base with fancy script 2 flanked by dashes. Wear to midsection and rim, including some small chips to underside of rim. Base chip and base nick.
