Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed chicken pecking kernels of corn from a stylized lawn. 7" crack from rim on right side of crock's front. 1" hairline from rim. Some staining to surface. A few small flakes to decoration. A few minor rim chips. Wear to interior of rim.
