Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with tall flaring collar, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front with a large brushed cobalt tulip. Includes small salt-glazed stoneware lid. Excellent color and good form. Lid with chip to knob. Jar with a few tiny base chips and a small rim chip. H (including lid) 11 3/8".
