Five-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two large cobalt flowers on the front and back, as well as two dashes under each handle. Professional restoration to underside and base. Crock is out-of-round. Chips to ends of one handle.
