Large-Sized Stoneware Water Cooler with Elaborate Cobalt Decoration, Initialed "F.L.J.," Ohio origin, circa 1865, cylindrical cooler with octagonal spigot and open handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt plant featuring large leaves and cherry-like blossoms. Additionally decorated with chain links (an Odd Fellows symbol) and the initials "F.L.J." Includes decorated lid, which may or may not be original to the cooler. Both handles restored. Restored cracks in cooler. Restoration to rim of cooler. Salt drip and significant restoration to lid. H (including lid) 18".
