Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to the Wilkes Street Pottery, Alexandria, VA, circa 1825, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with a sweeping cobalt swag design, further embellished with dotted trails. Impressed "1/2" below rim. 1 3/4" rim chip. 4" hairline on underside, continuing 4" up base of jar. H 7 1/2".
