Stoneware Batter Pail, New York State origin, circa 1870, ovoid form with pouring spout and handle at base on reverse, fitted with a wood and metal bail handle, decorated on the front with a two-stemmed floral motif. Heavy chipping to interior of rim. Missing one ear. Stone ping and a few small nicks to spout. Tiny nick to handle on reverse. H 9".
