Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock with Lid, Stamped "H.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK, PA," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt floral design. Paired with an unsigned Grier lid from Chester CO., PA, decorated with cobalt swags. Crock with two cracks, a rim chip, and flaking to surface. Lid with chips and crack. H (of crock) 13".
