Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H. PURDY," Ohio origin, mid 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a large cobalt tulip design with spotted blossoms. Freehand wavy lines at the shoulder and cobalt highlight to makers mark. Provenance: Tom McCandless Collection, Hopewell, NJ. 9" hairline on front. 6 3/4" and 3 1/2" hairlines on reverse. H 15 1/4".
