Rare Stoneware Lion Doorstop, Stamped "JGC / UNCLE BILLY SHOEMAK. . . / CLIMAX / PA," late 19th century molded figure of a reclining lion on scallop-edged base, covered in a brown glaze. Impressed with signature on underside. Glazed-over losses to muzzle, base and one paw. Significant glaze loss. Length 9 1/2".
