Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Wax Sealer, Stenciled "NEW GENEVA / POTTERY," circa 1875, tapered canning jar with wax sealer rim and tooled midsection and shoulder, the body stenciled diagonally "NEW GENEVA / POTTERY" flanked by freehand wavy stripes. Lines extending partway up reverse side of jar. 1 1/4" lines from rim on front and reverse, which do not extend through to interior. Faint spidering lines at base on front. H 9 1/2".
