Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "GEDDES . N.Y.," circa 1860, cylindrical crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed flowering plant with shaded leaves and scallop-edged blossom petals. 8 3/4" crack from rim on reverse. Y-shaped 6 3/4" line in body, which does not extend through to interior. 4" Y-shaped hairline on front. 3 1/4" Y-shaped line on underside, which does not extend through to interior. 2" hairline on underside, extending 3 3/4" up reverse of crock. Staining to surface. H 10 3/4".
