Two Salt-Glazed Stoneware Shoes, English origin, 19th century, a small molded shoe with laces and high heel, covered in a salt glaze over a tannish ground, paired with a larger high-heeled shoe with buttons, covered in a salt glaze over a cream-colored ground. Smaller shoe with chip to top edge of shoe with hairline extending down from it, as well as a chip and two in-the-firing separations to surface, one measuring 2 1/8". Larger shoe with small chip on interior of rim. H (of smaller shoe) 2 1/8" ; Length 4 1/4".
