Stoneware Wax Sealer with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, decorated with three brushed cobalt stripes. Crack in underside, extending 5 1/2" up front of jar. 3/4" rim chip and a few other, much smaller rim chips. Heavy chipping to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 1/4".
