Two Pieces of Blue-and-White Figural Stoneware, American, late 19th century, molded mastiff-type dog of Ohio origin covered in bristol slip and decorated with dark blue and light brown sponged decoration. Incised paws and facial details. Paired with a molded recumbent cow figure with blue decoration over a white ground, of unknown origin, but possibly Ohio. Dog with loss to one leg and several base chips, mostly visible on reverse. Cow with restoration to one ear. H 6 3/4".
