Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and thick rounded rim, decorated over slip-washed clay with two brushed cobalt leafy vines between two cobalt stripes. Impressed "2" and brushed cobalt "2" on shoulder. Some fry to cobalt. Small pieces of kiln furniture attached at base on front. H 10 7/8".
