Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Fan-Tailed Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITE'S UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1865, straight-sided crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird in "running" stance atop a stylized tree branch. Top-to-bottom crack on right side of crock. Base chip and small rim chip. H 9 1/4".
