One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "B.C. MILBURN," Alexandria, VA origin, circa 1850, straight-sided jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, brush-decorated on the front with a two-stemmed flowering plant design, and on the reverse with a series of swags. Spidering crack extending up front of crock from underside. Cracks extending down from rim on reverse. Two thin cracks from rim on front, which spider onto shoulder area of crock. Rim chips, including one shallow chip measuring 1 1/2". One base chip. H 9 1/2".
