Rare Large-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Mug, probably New York State origin, mid 19th century, cylindrical mug with applied strap handle, tooled base, and heavily-tooled shoulder, decorated with a large slip-trailed flower on the front and two slip-trailed stems with numerous leaves on the left and right sides. Includes pewter lid engraved with initials "F.P.". Two hairlines from rim, measuring 2 1/4" and 2". H (ezcluding lid) 6 1/2".
