Very Rare Alexandria, VA Two-Gallon Ovoid Stoneware Jar, Stamped "J. SWANN / ALEXA," circa 1815, ovoid jar with thin foot, slightly flared rim, and applied tab handles, impressed with rare John Swann maker's mark. Hairline crack on underside, continuing onto sides of jar in two places. Handle chip. Small rim chip. Several base chips. H 11 3/4".
